The Stone Age in the West Country
Some notes and observations concerning the evidence of the impact that stone age had in South Western Britain.
The south west of Britain is is a fertile landscape for evidence from the Stone age, stretching from the late upper Paleolithic though to the bronze age and beyond. There is plenty of evidence of cave occupation (e.g. Cheddar Gorge, Kents Cavern) and monumental architecture (e.g. Stonehenge and Avebury).............................................
